24 HOUR FITNESS: "MYGOALS" TWITTER SWEEPSTAKES

What you do with your social media fans is just as important as growing your following. In this Twitter campaign for 24 Hour Fitness, we achieved both by combining tactics to increase their following while igniting conversation with existing fans.
 
Shortly after launching their Twitter presence, 24 Hour Fitness asked us to help them grow their following. We also need to help support the larger brand platform of “My Goals,” which focused on encouraging 24 Hour Fitness members to share their goals in order to motivate them to achieve those goals. After all, if you share your goals with your friends you feel more accountable and have a better chance of success.
 
Silverfox created a promotion that prompted people to follow @24hourfitness and share their fitness goals to be entered into a series of prize giveaways. The prizes were all related to the 24 Hour Fitness experience (fitness gear, free personal training, etc.) to ensure that we were engaging actual members and prospects. The campaign landing page used the Twitter API to enable users to log into their Twitter account, see other members’ goals and tweet directly from the page.
 
24 Hour Fitness experienced huge growth in their following with an increase of 40% in just 8 weeks.
